Super Fun Update


Originally, I was planning to fix just one of dialogue but I didn't want to upload a version with just one fix. I decided to make more changes too, and also I discovered a game breaking bug.

  • Level Updates
    • The Sewer stage had changes.
      • The light goes out after 20 seconds instead of 2 seconds. This should make playing a lot easier.
      • The "Triple Tunnels" level has two bosses now instead of just one.
      • The Sewer Complex now has a new level called "Super Plus"
      • The water looks more neutral green.
      • The color of the over hanging pipes are now brown instead of dark blue.
      • Tiles were added to the edges of the rooms so the levels doesn't look like they are sitting in the middle of a lake anymore.
      • The level "Dark Pinch" had a few blocks around to make it symmetrical, and a little easier to trap bad guys.
    • The Final Stage has changes.
      • All the levels had there enemy roster changed. Mainly more aggressive bad guys were added.
      • Level "Mega Grid"
        • An issue where bad guys only spawned at the bottom of the map "Mega Grid" was fixed. They now spawn at four total locations.
        • An extra power pellet on top of another was deleted.
        • A space was added to the title. It used to be called "Megagrid."
        • The final boss had a change to the location of it's weapon.
    • Back Alley stage had changes.
      • The 2nd level was renamed Quick Pinch and it had a few blocks and the spawner locations changed.
      • The 3rd level was renamed Open Slaughter. It is the first unique level of its kind;  not even the same level as before.
      • The 4th level was renamed Standoff. The level layout was completely changed and has three bosses.
    • Brutal Desert 1st level was renamed Glyph and had it's layout changed.
    • Japanese Garden had it's first level changed. Only a few minor adjustments.
    • Death Machine had it's first level completely changed.
    • Booby Trap Factory had it's first level completely changed.
  • Gameplay balances
    • The footprints left by the bad guys are a lot easier to see now. They are a pixel wider and the outline is brighter.
    • The boss who throws projectile has less erratic behavior when running away from the officers.
    • The Red guys normal run speed is 1.8 instead of 1.5.
    • The Golden Bad Guy's base speed is 1.7 instead of 1.6.
    • The Golden Bad Guy's time on screen was reduced from 30 to 25 seconds.
  • Controls
    • Moving the officers with the arrow keys is much easier now.
    • The selection keys 1-4 for the police officers are now more responsive, and you can select anyone with one press.
  • Dialogue
    • Fixed a huge oversight error with the dialogue saying to fire the "water hose" instead of the "machine gun" in the Mr. Shiny Boss fight.
    • The game now has 90 game over messages.
    • In the intro scene where Penny talks, one line of dialogue was changed. (Before and After below)
      • "Sooo... That drug found inside of that shipping container made into a school huh?"
      • "Sooo... that drug found inside of that shipping container made it's way into a school huh?",
    • Let the new tutorial message in "The Pinch" stay up a bit longer.
    • There is now a display message in Building Site talking about the camera distortion.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed a game breaking bug where the final cutscene caused an error message (I have no idea what caused this in the first place!)
    • Fixed a bug where the officer would not appear in the room after dying!
      • My phone rang so I paused the game to see who it was. I paused it while my officers were despawned. When I unpaused, I realized that the pause button stopped officers from respawning!
      •  I am so happy I caught that!
    • Fixed a level breaking bug where the controller couldn't detect the officers.
    • Stopped the Riot Drone from spawning after you defeat the final boss.
    • Fixed a graphical glitch when quitting a level with a dark room too early.
    • The camera distortion effect now has the particles move along with the camera in the Building Site level.
    • The ninja clones in the "Spintable" level is orientated correctly now.
    • The boss in the "Spintable" level is orientated correctly now.
    • Fixed a bug on the Stage Select screen where the completed levels weren't marked red when looking up scores.
    • Fixed a small graphical bug where the score screen didn't do the room transition effect when pressing space bar
    • Limit the number of detainees in the jail cell to keep them from jostling. This happens in the Death Machine stage most often  because it has more enemies than any other stage.
    • The Final Bosses health does not display anymore when destroyed.
