Keith Lafferty recently bought a new house in Detroit, Michigan that is supposedly haunted by an evil spirit. Are the rumors true? Or is the ruckus and commotion nothing else more than a bunch of rats? He selfishly explores his newly bought home to find out.

He must collect items and read the Memory Clouds of the previous owner's past to progress and find the ultimate secret that the house is hiding, and pray that he does not meet an untimely demise.

An Uninvited Guest is a short and sweet puzzle and horror game. It is a game that respects your intelligence and expects you to find solutions to its puzzles on your own.  Please note they can be very difficult to solve and was done so to encourage out of the box thinking.

If you have trouble finding the solution to the puzzles, you can always check with me to help. I'll post a walkthrough if I have to.

Please note this game does contain a lot of strong language and was put in to add to the authenticity of the characters because I felt not doing it would just make them feel phony and not accurate with what goes on in people's minds.

A lot of things had to be cut from the final product such as event sequences to enhance the pacing and a lack of art. I had to make amends and explain and cover it up in the games lore. Regardless, I am really happy with the way the game turned out and that I didn't skip too much of the quality assurance.

Update May 26 2022

A new version of the game was uploaded. This improves the performance. I didn't expect to update this game so late after release. I only did it because for some reason it got more popular. Maybe it's because there is another popular game with the same name as it.

I really enjoyed your game. The art was great and there was a nice atmosphere. I found the puzzles to be clever and I liked that the memories were used as hints as well as giving me backstory of what happened in the house.

The humor added a nice bit of levity to this pretty scary game. Like legit when I got to the ending area I almost noped out of the game because I was getting super scared. But I perservered and I must say I'm glad I did.

So, soo good! I could not keep my eyes of the screen, it is so unique and visually impressive. Great Work!

Thank you so much, I was getting nervous that people were going to get stuck on the puzzles and just quit not knowing what to do.
